MEET OUR LITTLE HOME ?

Hi Everyone,
As promised in my previous post today I will tell you a little bit about our home and our current living situation.  So hubby bought the house or rather our fixer upper almost 4 years ago.  Let me tell you the house truly was/ is a fixer upper. We have spent endless hours and money renovating and turning it into our little dream home. Well it isn’t really little but I love making everything sound cute

Meet our Home – Before

Anyway, as I said when hubby bought the house it was a true fixer upper, it didn’t have floors, no proper light switches or outlets, the walls were all textured which was nice but they were all painted in a seafoam green, even the ceilings and we had to start from scratch in every room. Luckily hubby has an Associates Degree in construction so at least he knows what he is doing. And man, does he do a good job. Everything he does, he does with care and attention to detail, sometimes a little too much detail which can drive me a little nuts. ?

So at the time we started dating, hubby had started the first room which was the guest room. He had painted walls and ceiling and put up crown molding.  Even in the closet, yes you are reading correctly, we actually have crown moulding in every closet ?. After we dated for a few months I decided to start helping with the project.  We have made a ton of progress since then, not because I am handy but rather nagging ?

Our home is a 3,000 SqFt, two story home while one floor is a walkout basement.  This is almost unheard of in Florida. The main living area is on the top floor and is mostly done. At this point only the master bathroom has to get done.  Plus some other small projects like new front door and the patio.  But other than that we are pretty much done with the top part of the home.

The downstairs is still pretty raw and needs a ton of work.  We are not stressing out over it anymore at this point. We wanted to get the upstairs done as much as possible before hubby had to leave.  Luckily we accomplished that. ??

So yeah this pretty sums up our living situation. I did include some before and in between pictures for you.  That way you can see for yourself what we have done so far.  Hubby hasn’t sent all the before pictures yet but bare with me I will include them in future posts!

On this blog I will go a little bit more into detail and explain the things we have done.  I will also give you tips like how to measure your kitchen.  I will also share our DIY projects with you.  Pretty much everything house related ?.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sabrina

Your renovations look great. I am going to try to paint my kitchen cabinets sometime this summer.

Thank you Amanda, that's sweet of you to say! That will be a nice project, I can't wait to see what they will look like. It always surprises me what a new coat of paint can do 🙂

What a beautiful job you both have done! It truly looks like you hired someone. You are an inspiration! I love your kitchen with the white cabinets and the island.

Thank you Terry, that's so sweet of you to say! My husband is really handy and after MONTHS of nagging he finally gave in and let me design the kitchen! He liked the end product even though he didn't trust one bit throughout the process! MEN!!!
