A Rustic Christmas Home Tour

A rustic Christmas home

Hello sweet friends,

I am so super happy and excited about today’s post.  Ever since I shared my honest home tour with you guys I have been itching to write this post.  Christmas is my favorite season and I love to decorate our house so today I wanted to share with you our rustic Christmas home tour.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – my favorite season

At this point you might be tired of hearing me say it but Christmas really is my favorite season.  I just love listening to classic Christmas music while I decorate the home for the season.  This year I decided to add some buffalo check and to go more rustic with our decor.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – come on in

Our home doesn’t have an official entry way and you pretty much enter right into the living room.  We do have little entryway area where we keep our $20 thrifted ironing board which still is one of my favorite pieces.  I usually keep the decor the same on there and just switch out the flowers with season.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – living room

Our living room has seen so many updates since last Christmas and I just love how warm it looks.  My favorite part is our super comfortable sectional which I dressed up a little bit this year with these DIY pillows.  This was actually my very first sowing project and I am so happy how they turned out.

One of my favorite decor items this holiday season is definitely the dough bowl on our coffee table.   I just added some greenery and a candle to it which makes it so simple.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – the Christmas tree

The highlight of our living room is definitely the Christmas tree.  We bought that tree last year which was also the first year we put up a tree.  When we bought it I decided to go for a traditional and classic look.

With all of my decor I try to add a few pieces here and there and switch up every season.  So this year I added the ribbon.  I really love how simple and classic it looks.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – dining room and kitchen

Our kitchen has truly seen a transformation and I am happy to say it is almost done.  We only have a few minor things but all in all we are almost there.

My favorite part are the floating shelves hubby put up the night before Thanksgiving.  They add so much warmth to the entire kitchen and I get more space to decorate.

The dining room table is not always set since we use it on a regular basis.  But I wanted to share with you guys what our Christmas Table will look like this year.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – master bedroom

Believe it or not but it can actually get quite cold in Florida.  I mean it is not as cold as it is in Germany but cold enough to get out the down comforters.   Like in the living room I decided to make some new pillows for Christmas.  For our bedroom I decided to go with a blue/green plaid and a white pillow which looks like a letter addressed to Santa.   I added a poinsettia bouquet to the dresser and a candle to the night stand.

A Rustic Christmas Home Tour – guest bedroom

Last year we actually had my best friend from Germany stay over for a few days before Christmas.  Even though we won’t have guests this year I still want our guest bedroom to look comfy.  I added one little Christmas pillow and then some Christmas bushes and flowers.

The room is still not completely finished but we are almost there.   I will actually share our makeover story soon with you guys.

And that’s it for our little rustic Christmas home tour.  As you can tell our home is nothing special and we are still not completely done.  But let me tell you I still love it and especially during the holidays.

As always thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Holidays!
