Rustic Gift wrapping

rustic gift wrapping

Hi everyone,

Christmas is almost here and I am so excited about that.  With Christmas getting closer it is time to finish wrapping those gifts.  We were so busy last year that we just went with some cheap gift wrapping paper.  This year I decided to put a lot of effort into it and I want to share with you my different rustic gift wrapping ideas.

Rustic gift wrapping – Why I love giving gifts

I don’t know about you but I always loved it more to give gifts than to receive them.  It just makes me so happy to see the smile on my families faces.  Every year I try to make personal gifts for my family, something meaningful that you can’t really buy at the store.  This year hubby decided to buy all the gifts while he was overseas and I really loved that idea.  With him getting all the gifts it also meant that all the Christmas shopping was done before Halloween.  So no shopping stress here and it gave me a ton of time to wrap the gifts.

Rustic gift wrapping – color scheme

This year I wanted to keep the colors simple and focus on neutral colors and elements.  As you might know by now I love everything farmhouse and I thought rustic gift wrapping would go perfectly with that.  The base for the rustic gift wrapping is the brown wrapping which I got at Hobby Lobby.  I then went ahead and bought some greenery, as well as some holly, strings and ribbons.  My plan was to mix it up and pack the gifts differently while holding true to the rustic theme.

Rustic gift wrapping – 5 different options

Ok guys here are the 5 different rustic gift wrapping options that I prepared for you.  As you can tell I used different kind of materials to decorate the gifts.  I really love how they are all different yet all fit the same scheme.  If you want to see the full tutorial hop on over to North Country Nest.

But before you go make sure you check out the little gift that I have for you.  These cute little chalkboard gift tags that I created.  You can simply print them on stock paper or have them printed at an office store.  Use a hole punch to add the holes and then use some of the string to attach them.  The gift tags will definitely round up the entire rustic theme.
